We have provided quality driver safety programs throughout Maryland since 1997. The school was founded in Cumberland, Maryland and has evolved into a multi-county operation responsible for training nearly 3000 new drivers each year with more than 30 licensed, professional instructors.

We offer a variety of services for students with special needs including: training with vehicle hand controls and left foot accelerator, courses for those experiencing age-related concerns, and others. All of our vehicles are equipped with dual brakes and mirrors and are regularly maintained and fully inspected. We know any school is only as good as the instructors in the classroom and in the car - that's why all of our instructors regularly complete professional development courses as well as undergo background checks.

Lionel B. Baker

Owner & Instructor

He graduated from Frostburg University with a B.S. in Teacher Education. He has taught in the MD Public School System for many years. Lionel currently lives in Allegany County with his wife, Stacey, and daughters, Taylor and Carlin.

Jim And Kay Fraser

Owners & Instructors

Lifelong residents of Middletown Valley, Jim and Kay operate in Frederick and Washington counties and are in their 15th and 10th year of teaching driver education, respectively. They enjoy working with young adults to help them develop the important life skill of safely operating a vehicle. Jim and Kay strive to "meet students where they're at and see them successfully through the program." Prior to starting their careers in driver ed, Jim served in the U.S. military in army aviation for 11 years and Kay was Associate Dean of the graduate school at Hood College.

James Brown

General Manager & Instructor

J.B. is a native of Frederick County with over 12 years experience as an instructor in driver education and social studies. He is responsible for operations at Mount Saint Mary's and has recently expanded into Carroll County.

Was very pleased at the driving instructor mrs. Bitner for taking my wife out for her last 2 lessons of driving. I give you all 5 stars. I over looked the past since you all made it right great job i recommend this driving school.

They did a wonderful job with my son. They were flexible with his schedule, as he had Military duties. They allowed him to come and take the final tests with another class. Definitely recommend!
