Behind The Wheel

Our field instruction consists of 80 hours in the field, learning the correct method of backing, how to maneuver your vehicle and learning through observation. Our field training is true to life, allowing you to drive on actual city streets for most of the driving portion, not on a range with simulated traffic and maneuvering situations.
Classroom Lessons

Our classroom training does not just stop at preparing you to pass your exams with flying colors. It also trains you for real world situations and gets you ready for a career as a truck driving professional. You will learn to complete a log book to record your hours of service, learn how to read a map and plan the most effective trip for your routes.
We go over the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations and many other subjects, from safety to vehicle operation and special situations, so no matter what type of situation you run into when you begin your career, you will be prepared.

This was by far the best experience I have had with learning. The staff is excellent! Not only with their knowledge but they actually care that you understand what you being taught. It's not just a hope in and go career, class room instruction was in depth and a real eye opener. All the instructors were patient and very easy to take direction from. When you graduate it's great, even better that JTL doesn't forget you! Now that's a personal experience that is worth making you feel like you matter!

Best trucking school HANDS DOWN! I came to school with 0 experience driving anything manual, let alone a tractor trailer! These folks will build you from the ground up and do it calmly and with grace. There was never a dull moment at JTL! Big shoutout to my instructors NEAL, AARON and BRIAN I couldn't have done it without y'all! Highway, city, rural or interstate they get you ready for it all, as well as backing you'll be ready to steamroll over your DMV finals/pre-trip/air brake test/drive final etc.no stone is left unturned. Nine years later after attending JTL Truck Driver Training and I'm still applying the knowledge I attained to be a professional Truck Driver! I trained very closely with Don, Brian& Aaron and I must say, three VERY good trainers. I'm so glad that I went to JTL.Mrs Deb was so helpful getting me started and feeling comfortable.
