Motor City Driving Academy

My daughter took the adult learners class and always came back feeling more confident and prepared. I could tell when practicing with her how much she progressed after each session. There was great professionalism and quality of service!

My cousin recently used this driver's training and it really helped her out. Not only did she get lots of on the road experience but she also had a great instructor who was very encouraging the entire time.

I was an adult learner with absolutely no idea about driving. Driving itself made me feel anxious and overwhelmed. This experience with Ms. Ross at motor city driving was excellent! She was patient with me and let me know my strengths and worked with me on growing areas. She was always patient and kind and prioritized safety and learning. I loved motor city driving academy and would 100% recommend to anybody who wants to learn how to drive!

My son just finished segment one at Motor City Driving Academy. I cannot say enough about the professionalism of the instructors both in the virtual classroom and behind the wheel. My son felt comfortable driving with all the instructors and appreciated their patience throughout the learning process. Mrs. Ross did an excellent job communicating with me throughout the learning process as needed. I highly recommend Motor City Driving Academy and will return for phase two!

I did my class through zoom so I loved that and they taught me so much during the classes. The drives were always smooth because I was guided properly. I highly recommend and it's a fast between when I start to getting my permit and then getting my License.

My daughter Shyla has been very nervous about driving, even before taking classes at Motor City; However, their dedication to ensuring she understood driver safety and continuous encouragement is helping her along the way to become a confident driver. We will definitely be returning to Motor City for her segment II.

I took my road test prep today and it was honestly an easy learning experience. The driver I had, he sat in the passenger seat and made sure I wasn't making any mistakes when driving. He talked smoothly and with ease. 10/10.

Motor city driving school was a great way to learn how to drive. The training was very helpful and the instructors like Mr. Ross were very patient and helpful. Glad I chose Motor City driving academy.

I did the 6-hour behind the wheel instruction with Mr. Ross and I've never felt more confident driving. He always gave me clear instructions either on the road, or how to improve mistakes I made and was always extremely patient with me. Would highly recommend first time drivers to come here!

My daughter just completed phase one with Mrs Ross and Mrs Coletta at the Detroit (McNichols) location. Their constant, open line of communication, professionalism and dedication to safety (both in the online classroom and behind the wheel), and overall genuine-caring-approach to the students and parents made this a very pleasant experience for my daughter and I! My daughter is looking forward to phase two! Thank you Mrs Coletta and Mrs Ross for making this (somewhat intimidating experience) into an absolute success!

I took the 6 hour lesson through motor city academy and they are amazing! Mr. Ross made sure I nailed my parking by spending as much time possible on them and being so patient too! He gave me super useful tips and made sure he went over all the basics with me. He kept me calm on the highway and explained all instructions very clearly. I passed my test today! Would highly recommend this place, especially if you have road fear, and are worried about how your parking might go!

I really enjoyed my segment 1 class, all of my drives with, Ms. Davis, were very smooth and taught me a lot. Definitely coming back for segment 2!

After a bad experience with another driving school, I was very apprehensive! The virtual classroom instruction was vey good with great communication. The admin office was available to answer questions! Driving instructor Mr. Leonard Ross is AWESOME! The patience Mr. Ross is by far the best for any new driver! My daughter said he didn't make her feel nervous. Thank you for teaching my first time driver! Such a great experience! WE highly recommend Motorcity Drive Academy!

My son attended Motor City Driving Academy for both Segment 1 and Segment 2. The Website and the Student Portal are user friendly and professional. I liked the communication platform and each time that I communicated with staff they always responded timely and the customer service was Exceptional. The students learned to drive in clean, newer model cars and the driving instructors arrived on time.

The school also adhered to the CDC requirements for COVID-19 precautions as well as state of Michigan requirements. The school has different locations however, we utilized the Detroit location and I was happy to support a business that is located within the local community. This experience has changed my son's life forever and I am so Grateful that he was able to learn how to be a safe driver at Motor City Driving Academy. Best experience I've had so far with a driving school. I received actual instruction on what I struggled with my instructor was Mr. Ross he was very friendly and helpful.

Thanks to Mrs. Davis I learned a lot more about driving but not only did she teach well she was also patient and made sure I was comfortable the whole time I was behind the wheel. I highly recommend her and just motor city driving in general. I'm so thankful I was able to experience this opportunity to drive and learn something new.

My first experience with them I paid before I made the appointment which I believe you have to do. I paid for 3 hours for $253 after words I waited 5 days and there was still no call from them and I eventually called them and told them about my payment and that I needed a appointment. So first thing first terrible communication and needs improvement.

The 3 hour driving is not enough for you to learn everything you need to if you a beginner and have no practice at all. I paid a second time for 6 hours of drivers training and had to call them and your also schedule a mouth later. So my permit is expiring quickly. That's not good. So I had 3 separate days of 2 hours each, on my third day they canceled the appointment on me right at the time she was supposed come.

And did not let me know a day before or even an hour before my appointment. And I again had to contact them. After wards I tried to get in touch with them to make an appointment and there was no answer at all.

My daughter was going on and on about how much she likes Mr. Ross. He looked quite young but he mad a beautiful mannerism and vocabulary. He was very polite and respectful. He always kept a calm voice and he made the environment feel safe at all times. He was always instructing in a very professional manner and never began to yell even when my daughter made mistakes.

She says that he also kept the car very clean and always smelled like cocoa butter. I would recommend him to all students and parents with anxious teens such as my own. Thank you Leonard Ross for giving my daughter lots of behind the wheel experience and I can see her improvement.

Motor City Driving Academy was a great choice. They were very helpful when it came to questions about what to do when your diving or what to do after the class is over. The teachers were very good at making the class fun while teaching good skills. They were also easy to understand even when they were talking about complicated subjects. Just make sure to schedule your dives when they come out with slots because they do fill up quick! Other than that I would definitely recommend this driving academy for anyone looking for drivers education.

The driving instructors are very patient, calm and thorough the whole time! They'll walk you through what to know as a driver, how you can apply that to a test, and let you repeat exercises until you're confident in them, even when out on the road. Highly recommended!
