Driver Education Courses
Drive Zone offers state-approved driver education courses combining online and in-person instruction. Our curriculum develops essential driving skills through structured lessons that meet Indiana BMV requirements. Students learn defensive driving techniques and traffic law compliance while gaining practical experience in controlled environments before on-road training. The program accommodates different learning needs through flexible scheduling options.
Behind the Wheel Training
Our behind-the-wheel training provides personalized one-on-one instruction using late-model vehicles. Certified instructors guide students through progressively complex driving scenarios including city traffic, highway driving, and special conditions. Each session focuses on developing proper vehicle control, decision-making, and hazard awareness while maintaining strict safety protocols throughout the learning process.
BMV Waiver Testing
Eligible students can complete their official driving test with Drive Zone instead of visiting BMV branches. This service requires completing our program with at least a B grade and covers all testing requirements. Our certified examiners evaluate driving proficiency according to state standards while maintaining a supportive assessment environment that reduces test-related anxiety for new drivers.
Driving Simulators
Our SimuRide driving simulator provides safe, controlled environment training before road exposure. The system replicates various driving conditions including night driving and challenging traffic scenarios. This technology-enhanced approach builds foundational skills while reducing fuel consumption and environmental impact compared to traditional training-only methods.
Permit Study Courses
Drive Zone offers comprehensive permit study programs to prepare students for Indiana's written driving exam. These courses cover traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving practices through interactive learning tools. The 30-day free study option helps new drivers build confidence and knowledge necessary to pass their permit test successfully.

Drive Zone has been amazing for my son to do his in-person driving simulator (which is pretty cool and I got to try it out myself), his online classes, the driving lessons and finally the road test exam through the school instead of at the BMV. Steve has gone above and beyond my expectations and was so accommodating to extending time due to my son's procrastination during his online classes (work/high school/driver's ed balance).
The drive instructors were all great. Of the 12 drives, my son had two instructors for most of it and two others for two other drives and he was comfortable with all them - more than he is with me as a rider. LOL The instructors taught the same core principals but they each brought their own experiences to the lessons. I honestly cannot praise Drive Zone, Steve or his instructors enough. I would highly recommend and if I had other children would put them through the school as well. I am not paid for this review, nor did I receive compensation for it. Thank you Steve! Jim

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND Drive Zone to anyone. They are here ONLY to take your money. IF YOU ARE READING THIS AND STILL WANT TO HIRE THEM FOR DRIVING LESSONS, YOU NEED TO KNOW THAT THEY WILL TAKE YOUR PAYMENT TODAY AND SCHEDULE CLASSES 3 OR 4 MONTHS LATER. IF YOU CARE ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE WANTING TO LEARN TO DRIVE, PLEASE USE SOCIAL MEDIA for everybody to know.

I thought of getting lessons from this driving school as I've seen 4.5 stars in some reviews but I guess I should have researched further. No way in their website that you would know how long behind the wheel driving lessons schedule will take. After paying and getting access to my site dashboard the earliest behind the wheel I can schedule is 3 months later with very few slots left. I email them if they can do an earlier schedule for me but only got a reply after 2 days after sending them several text and emails.
But still they're not able to give me specific dates. They say they'll give me a slot as soon as somebody cancels a slot. So who knows how long? The sad thing is I also included an online course even though I don't need it just because I want to have a waived driving test. They finally agreed to cancel my subscription but deducted $100 for the online course that I don't really need. Beware, think twice before enrolling their behind the wheel lessons schedule sucks.

I definitely recommend Drive Zone. I have taught all my older children to drive but now just didn't have as much time so sent my 15 year old to Drive Zone. He was surprisingly very comfortable with the instructors. He said he appreciated that they were calm and reassuring and they were always very clear in their instructions. I have never had a problem getting a hold of any of them. My phone messages and e- mails were always answered promptly.
My son is now an EXCELLENT driver and as a parent that fact makes me worry much less. Because he attended drive zone we will also recieve a discount on our insurance. It was also affordable enough that he was able to pay for it himself with his part time job. Total win. The 2 girls I have here at home will also attend Drive Zone because of their brothers positive experience.
