Segment One
Report
Students can begin segment one at 14 years 8 months old. The course consists of the State required 24 hours of classroom and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training. Classes are held monthly and run Monday through Thursday, two hours per day, for three weeks. The behind-the-wheel portion of the instruction is scheduled on an individual basis with the student. Driving times are usually scheduled before & after class, or on the weekend.
Segment Two
Report
Students can begin segment two after a minimum of 3 consecutive months after receiving their Level one license from the Secretary of State office. The course consists of 6 hours of classroom instruction covering Defensive Driving, and the students experiences while driving with their level one license. Segment 2 classes are held monthly and run Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for two hours per day.
