Our instructors have anywhere from 5 to 25 years of experience teaching safe driving to their students! And it's with a great deal of intuition, patience and expertise, that we prepare our student drivers for the Road Test and beyond. You can always expect to find our vehicles to be clean, air conditioned, and in the best condition just for YOU! All of our vehicles also have professionally installed brakes on the passenger side.

We firmly believe that when a student is nervous or tense, it is more difficult to learn - in and out of the classroom. We know that when a student is relaxed, they are more able to be receptive and learn. When you know your instructor, you will be instantly more at ease. Academy School of Driving prides itself in creating a rapport with the student as well as a relaxed, safe, and professional environment. Jim Hallinan

Owner/ Instructor

Jim has been teaching Driver Education at Washington Township High School since 2001 and has also worked with the community as a teacher, instructor, coach, and youth mentor during that time.

Kate Hallinan

Owner/office Manager

Kate is owner/office manager with Academy and has also worked in the area the last few years as a guidance counselor.

Matt Groark

Instructor

Matt is a Health, Phys Ed, and Driver Ed teacher at Washington Township High school, where he also coaches Boys Basketball. He has been coaching new drivers behind the wheel for over 6 years. He is a great addition to the Academy team.
